Great Expectations
For Rafe Khatchadorian, middle school is a boring, annoying distraction. To transcend the doldrums, he's devised a plan to outwit the oppressive administration: He has vowed to break every rule in the school's straightjacket they call the Student Code of Conduct. At first, it's fun; then things gets much too serious, much too soon. James Patterson's seriously entertaining character learns some very valuable lessons about survival in middle school and in life.
Sound all too familiar?
As "freshman" in middle school, you are young adults now. Unlike high school, senior year is just around the corner, literally. You are now entering JUNIOR HIGH and will be treated as such. It is expected that your behavior will be in line with your new role.
This means that you will treat this class like a job. In doing so, it is expected that you will have good attendance and give 100% effort. These two things along with good study habits and time management are your keys to success in middle school and in life. You will earn your " pay" in the form of grades and ultimately, graduation to high school. You developing into a "self-made individual" in thought, word and deed will provide you with the knowledge that you will need to succeed in the real world beyond the classroom. Your freshman year sets the pace and tone for your middle school career experience and thereafter, so you really need to do your very best each and every day.
